Life is full of choices! Did you realize you are making one right now? You are! You’re choosing to read the Pastor’s Perspective in the bulletin today. The Psalmist declares, “I will meditate on the glorious splendor of Your Majesty, and on Your wondrous works.” Psalm 145:5. He is making a deliberate choice by saying, “I will.” He is not saying, “Well, if I feel like it, or when I get around to it, I might meditate on the glorious splendor of my God and His Majesty.” He declares that he is going to make a conscious choice to bend his human feelings and freedoms towards the halls of heaven and be completely engaged in the reality of his Awesome and Almighty God.

We have the same choice to make every day as well. This can be a hard choice, for there are many things that draw our attention away from God. This is a battle that is fought on the front lines of the thought life! Paul wrote, “Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.” Phil 4:8.

Take the time today to press the reset button on your focus and let your mind be renewed as you allow the meditations of your heart and mind be on your Amazing God!
