Have you ever thought that you are too busy? Me too! Good time management seems to have been replaced by the tyranny of the “urgent”. Cell phones, text messages, IM’s, e-mails and the never ending, always growing list of things to do have swallowed up all our best intentions from time to time. It is so important for each of us to make that time to get our priorities in order. It’s far more pleasant and easier to type that idea into the computer than to actually do it in “real life”.

Our Gracious and Loving God asks us to make the time for Him above all other things. “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Therefore, do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.” Matthew 6:33-34.

The tyranny of the urgent is run by the worries of this life. Let’s take time out today to be still and know that He is God. Let Him be exalted in our worship, and seek first the loving face of our God, Savior, and King.

“Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!” Psalm 46:10.
