When we’re talking about having hope, we need to remember we have victory in Christ “…in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 8:37-39. Because of that victory, we have assurance that nothing can separate us from the love of God! That truth helps us to rejoice in every situation and to stay the course in our walk with Jesus Christ! “…rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation, continuing steadfastly in prayer; distributing to the needs of the saints, given to hospitality.” Romans 12:12.

Do we rejoice in hope or do we waiver in doubt? Remember all that God has done for us! “Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; and perseverance, character; and character, hope. Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.” Romans 5:1-5

Think about that for a moment. We rejoice in hope and our hope does not disappoint. Why? Because of what God has done for us, is doing for us, and will accomplish for us in the days and eternity to come.
