Have you ever heard one of our missionaries speak and found yourself thinking, “I wish I could have gone!” Well, you did! We all did! Remember what Paul wrote in his letter to the church in Rome, “How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? And how shall they preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace, who bring glad tidings of good things!”” (Romans 10:14-15).

We all “went” on those trips! Paul wrote to the Corinthian church, “For as the body is one and has many members, but all the members of that one body, being many, are one body, so also is Christ.” (1 Cor 12:12). When we go as the Lord has commanded us, we all go. As we see, it’s not about what part we have, but that we do our part. Some of us went. Some stayed behind and prayed in the middle of the night for safety and the outpouring of the God’s power to save through the gospel. Some made medical kits for the health clinics. Some gave financially out of their abundance and some from their lack. We have all taken part in this trip as we have in all the others. That is what it means to be a “home” church for missionaries.

What God has done these last few years is best said by Paul, “Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.” (Eph 3:20-21) All of the stories they have to tell us of our great and awesome God and the many miraculous things He has done by His glorious power working in and through them, we experience together, as a family. We look forward to their homecoming every time. Please remember and pray for our missionaries at home and abroad each and every opportunity we have until they come home or go out again. Also, please pray for the pastors and other church leaders who are
