So here is the deal gang; God does not work for us. The opposite is our actual reality. Jesus said, “If you love Me, (you) keep My commandments.” (John 14:15) He did not say, “If you love me, I will keep my commandment for you because you love me.” Before I lose you, know this; many behave as if God owes them something. I am not saying this is their orthodoxy (belief, what we cannot see). Still, it is their orthopraxy (action, what we can see), and often our actions follow what we believe. Of course the fact is that God has done everything for our salvation, for us to have a salvific (saving) relationship with Him. The sacrifice of the Cross is a fantastic reality. One that should overwhelm us regularly when given honest consideration. In light of His loving, gracious, and merciful gift of salvation, are we to sit around and do nothing or step up and serve our King as an active participant in His glorious kingdom. The next time you see or have a need, maybe you are the one who God has created to fulfill that need. Remember the Bible says; “The just shall live by faith.” (Romans 1:17; Galatians 3:11; Hebrews 10:38) It does not say, “The just shall sit around and do nothing in faith.”

Get up! Get going! Get stuff done.
