God’s Recipe for Worship
Psalm 96:1-13
Have you ever wondered why we sing at church? Why we give or do study the Bible and pray? Some churches use a piano and organ, some have a choir and orchestra, some have only voices, and some have a full band. Yet, regardless of how, all churches have the common elements of praise and worship.
At the same time, most churches have times of prayer, the study of the Scriptures, and opportunities to give and serve. They may all look a bit different in length, priority, and focus, but they will be there. So, the question we will be addressing today is, “What is God’s Recipe for Worship?” I am indebted to a wonderful conversion with Dr. Vernon Whaley for this outline.
We will focus on 5 things this weekend.  In our worship, we are to sing to the Lord a new song. Proclaim His wonders to all the heathens. This, to me, is exciting. We come prepared to give to the Lord as we, enter His presence in prayer and feed upon His Word.
When we do this faithfully, we discover five wonderful and healthy outcomes.
