“Sacrifice!” from Mark 9:43-48. You and I are called to do what glorifies God, and God alone, in and through our daily lives. Yet, we find ourselves surrounded by a toxic, hell bound, “do what makes us happy” culture. There are temptations found around every turn for self gratification that would lead us astray. The question before us is, “Would you rather have earthly pleasures and eternal suffering or earthly suffering and eternal joy?” You would think the answer to be simple enough, right?
