Seize the moment!

Acts 13:13-42

Seize the moment! We all have family, friends, neighbors, and coworkers who do not know Jesus. They may know “about” Jesus, but they are often far from the redemptive relationship they need through faith in Christ. So, are we taking advantage of those little and big moments for the good news of the Gospel of the Kingdom of God? If you and I had an opportunity to share our faith, would we take it? Are we ready and knowing what to say, or would fear paralyze us? The Apostle Paul writes, “See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil. (Ephesian 5:15-16, Also see Philippians 3:12-16) Remember family, Paul also wrote, “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. (2 Timothy 1:7) Be brave, brother! Be strong, sister! Jesus loves those we know more than we do. He died for them and is waiting for them to come to Him, but how will they believe unless someone goes and tells them the truth about the love of God in Jesus and the life given for our salvation on the Cross of Calvary? (See Romans 10:13-17) We are responsible for stepping up and “taking our shot” in courageous faith and trust in the power of God and the message of Jesus. So, when the opportunity arises, family, seize the moment! God is with you and desires all to come to repentance and faith. (See 2 Peter 3:9) He is the one that does the saving we just need to be willing to share the message of Hope found in Jesus.
